Fuerte Foundation
Fuerte Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Marbella, whose aim is to channel the solidarity activities of Fuerte Group Hotels that are focused on helping people at risk of social exclusion, organizing cultural events and environmental awareness campaigns.
Fuerte Foundation is named after the company’s first establishment, Hotel Fuerte Marbella, which opened in 1957. This non-profit organization was conceived in 2005, with the aim of maintaining the values that, for more than 60 years, have been fundamental for the Luque García family.
Responsible Tourism
The Foundation is responsible for developing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of Fuerte Group Hotels, which applies a philosophy of Responsible Tourism to their hotels, a field in which they are pioneers.
The Foundation also upholds Fuerte Group Hotels’ commitment to the Global Code of Ethics of the WTO since 2016, as well as to the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact, which in turn is aligned with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), also known as the Global Goals, adopted by many institutions and companies in the United Nations Member States in 2016, as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by the deadline of 2030.
This philosophy provides Fuerte Group Hotels, a certain ethical demeanour, supported by the transparency of their environmental and social activities.
Additionally, Fuerte Group Hotels, through Fuerte Foundation, carries out important development cooperation efforts, with preference given to the countries where the company operates or has operated.
