Why does the fuerte foundation exist?

LThe Fuerte Foundation is a project conceived by Isabel M. García Bardón supported by her children and the personnel at fuertehoteles. The foundation is born with the aim of gathering and managing the wish of the company in collaborating with solving the problems within its social surroundings.

MISSION What does the Fuerte Foundation want?

The Fuerte Foundation wants to favour sustainable development * for the persons (children, youngsters and families) at risk or with physical and/or cultural shortage within Spain and in those countries where the foundation aims convenient, especially in those places where fuertehoteles is located. This mission will be developed by means of assistance or the creation of projects which wholly improve life conditions: education, dwelling and/or human development

OUTLOOK What we like to become?

An organisation managing projects with the following features:

• Projects to be presented on time and for which the foundation has a budget. (The budget ends before 31st December each year for those projects for the coming year. Projects are to be discussed before 30th November of each year for those projects for the coming year).
• Projects involving the stimulation of the most depressed and poor children, youngsters (up to the age of 18) and families.
  Projects suitable to the culture and social environment of the places where the same are developed.
• Projects supported by a legal recognised public institution (NGO, registered charity association or foundation, religious order recognised by the Church with a management control system. Assistance asked for by individuals is therefore refused.
• Projects with a continuity. (Assistance for specific subjects with no benefit making at long term are also refused).
• Projects appropriate for the values, historical experience and real resources of the promoters. (It will therefore be important to count on with the bye-laws or association basis whereby the aims of the promoters are stated).
• Projects favouring “Self Assistance”. (The person has to acquire faith, values and knowledge system which allows him/her to live with his/her own means both within the material world and the spiritual one).
• Projects which can receive synergy from the employees of fuertehoteles. (Projects in which the technicians of fuertehoteles might get involved).
• Projects in which their direct beneficiaries take part with their personal effort in the achievement of the assistance aims.
• Projects allowing their own self financing. (Projects which will count on with sufficient means to carry on with their aims in the future).
