Young teenagers

Description of the project

FIRST PART:

This study came about because it was necessary for the prevention workers and the presidents of the Andalusia Proyecto Hombre (Human Project) to answer the questions that arise when we meet the teenagers that we work with. We are interested in knowing how satisfied they are with life, at what age they started consuming substances, how dangerous the different types of drugs are for them, what they take and how often...

This survey has been carried out by prevention workers who compiled information from a total of 4000 teenagers from all over Andalucia. Subsequently, under the supervision of Francisco Cruz, a sociology professor from the University of Huelva, they studied the results and intend to publish a book containing all the information, which could serve as reference material for later studies.

SECOND PART:

A meeting of the Andalusia Proyecto Hombre protection workers, aimed at providing a response to demands made by counsellors and teachers as regards how to deal with students who are consuming substances.

Activities to be carried out by the foundation:

Covering expenses involved with researching and publishing the study.

Objectives to achieve:

Publication of the study in several cities to raise awareness among parents, education workers and teenagers about how consumption starts and their level of satisfaction with life.
