Crèche in Puerto Aventuras

The Village of Puerto Aventuras sprung up as a consequence of the development of tourism in the area. The abundant demand for labour, together with the lack of resources and often the lack of a father figure at the head of the family, means that a lot of single mothers do not have a safe place to leave their children while they are at work. The village does not have any infrastructure and the inhabitants are mostly low-income workers.

The construction of this crèche is a primary necessity for this village, due to the high level of employment among men and women who have children.

The foundation is interested in creating the crèche, as it is their way of promoting a facility that is necessary to improve the area's infrastructure.

The Fuerte Foundation will take charge of assisting with the project's financing and will supervise and monitor its progress.

Objectives to achieve

The aim is to provide the children of working mothers with a safe place to be, where their care, attendance, nutrition and all-round education is guaranteed.

In this way, the foundation intends to promote social well-being for families, supporting them as they develop their community and helping them to avoid social problems.

The safety of the village's young population will be improved, and their fathers and mothers will be safe in the knowledge that their children are being well cared for.
