Otra Mirada (Looking the Other Way)

Fuerte Hoteles is to hold an exhibition of photographs and a conference cycle with the title "Otra Mirada" (Looking the other way)

The Hotel Fuerte Miramar in Marbella will play host to the “Otra Mirada” exhibition between the 3rd and the 9th of April. The inauguration of this show will be accompanied by a conference cycle organised by the EntreMundos Foundation with the collaboration of the Fuerte Foundation, whose mission focuses on promoting the social and cultural development of families, women, children and teenagers.

The exhibition is made up of original photographs taken by Raúl Herranz, vice president of the EntreMundos Foundation, professional photographer and expert in graphic design. The photographs, distributed over nine panels, will be accompanied by texts that refer to the subject matter of the inaugural conference: the necessity of freeing the way we look at things when we go to visit the third and fourth worlds.

Otra Mirada

Doctor Monserrat Abumalha will be in charge of the conference in Marbella. She is a member of the EntreMundos Foundation Trust and Professor of Arab Culture and Language at the Complutense University of Madrid.

This is an exhibition that is aimed at the public in general, but it will be especially useful for anyone interested in participating in cooperation and voluntary activities.

The exhibition will be moved to the Hotel Fuerte Costaluz in Conil from the 10th to the 17th April, where it will also be supported by the Fuerte Foundation.

The El Fuerte Group

The El Fuerte Group currently has six hotels in Spain, located in Marbella, Conil, El Rompido and Grazalema; it also owns the Hotel Secrets Montego Bay in Jamaica, which is under construction. Its property section owns the Calaceite residential complex in Torrox, and the opening of the All Suites Hotel Fuerte la Herradura in Almuñecar is planned for 2010. The interior design studio EID, which was conceived with the aim of meeting the demand of Fuerte Hoteles, also belongs to the El Fuerte Group. Finally, it includes the Fuerte Foundation, whose aim is to collaborate with finding a solution to problems in its social environment.

Some of the main characteristics of the El Fuerte Group are its concern for providing quality tourism, preserving the environment and giving continuous training to its human resources, along with its family-style treatment, privileged locations, marvellous gastronomy and respect for history.
