The Fuerte Foundation inaugurates “La Otra Mirada”

As part of their Responsible Hotels Project, the Fuerte Foundation will be inaugurating La Otra Mirada on the 19th of June. This exhibition of responsible art, to be held at the Fuerte Conil Hotel (Cádiz), is the first event of a Cultural Weekend organised by the foundation to promote responsible culture.

Luis Bodes, who settled in Conil 14 years ago, and the artists Manuel Rey Piulestán, Elena Rubio and Yolanda Villata from the province of Cádiz, will be exhibiting their mosaic and wood pictorial works from Friday onwards and they will donate four of their creations to the Fuerte Foundation's responsible art collection.

La Otra Mirada will open its doors on Friday at 8 p.m. and will be on exhibition in the Fuerte Conil's Fontanilla Room until 30 August. On display will be works on a theme of social and environmental responsibility, some of which have been donated to the Fuerte Foundation by artists who are committed to the promotion of responsible art.

Anyone who comes to visit this art collection will also be able to enjoy a tour with a guide who will explain the intention behind each work of art and provide information about the career of each artist. This is certainly a very dynamic exhibition and its presentation ceremony will be accompanied by a cocktail party with gastronomic offerings from the Cádiz region, arranged by the Fuerte Conil.

The following day, as part of the "Cultural Weekend" programme of activities, guests at the Fuerte Conil will be able to attend the theatre performance “El perfume de lavanda” (The Scent of Lavender), which will be staged in the Roman Theatre at the Baelo Claudia Archaeological Site, an extremely beautiful historical location.
