Fuerte Marbella opens another pictorial exhibition, underlining their ongoing support for the development of local art

The exhibition displays the work of nine students who this year have taken part in the city’s painting workshop, alongside some of the most important works by the renowned artist and program teacher, Eli Martin.

Fuerte Marbella opens tomorrow, 9th July, an exhibition of pictorial art incorporating the works of the nine students who during the year 2008/09 have taken part in the painting workshop held in this town in the community of Malaga. The art collection, which will be on display until September in the hotel’s Ensenada room, will include some of the most important works by the renowned artist Eli Martin, the young artists’ teacher over the last year.

Organised by the Marbella Association of Plastic and Scenic Art, which is part of the Marbella Town Hall’s Local Arts Council, the exhibition will showcase the works of a group of artists committed to the use of painting as a form of expression and personal development.
Angel Vasquez, Rose Monteleone, Amparo Campos, Olga Kosova, Elisabeth Neve, Tali Gomez, Montse Lecumberri, Beatriz Navarro and Paz Gomez, students from the workshop that runs every year in Marbella as part of the city’s program of cultural activities, are the young artists whose works will be on display in an exhibition that accommodates several different techniques, such as oil on canvas, watercolour, acrylic and photography.
The Marbellan painter Eli Martin, an artist strongly committed to the development and promotion of local art in the community, will also exhibit some of her most important works next to those of her students who have been fortunate enough to study alongside her this last year.

Once again, Fuerte Hotels underline their commitment to the promotion of local Marbellan art and to supporting young Andalusian artists, using their facilities to house exhibitions showcasing a wide range of artistic styles, demonstrating their company policy of responsible hotel management.
