I Miguel Ángel Jiménez Solidarity Tour

The Fuerte Foundation and the Malaga Proyecto Hombre (Human Project) Association are to participate once again in a sporting and social event that is aimed at helping certain organisations run their solidarity-related activities.

With the support of the Municipality of Malaga, the La Caixa Foundation, the Malaga Proyecto Hombre, the Guadalhorce golf course, Lepanto and the company Fade & Draw Target, the Fuerte Foundation will collaborate with the first "Miguel Ángel Jiménez" Solidarity Tour by providing 3000 Euros worth of economical support. Most of the funds raised by the tour will be donated to the Malaga Proyecto Hombre, as well as to other charity organisations. The aim is to turn this event into a point of reference for providing support to solidarity projects in Spain.

As part of the activities that will be included in the programme, the Tour will organise two amateur tournaments which any member of the public from Malaga may sign up for. These tournaments will be held at the Málaga and Guadalhorce golf courses on the 18th and 25th of October and they will also be attended by a number of professionals from the golfing world, led by Miguel Ángel Jiménez.

After the competition, the champions from both the men and ladies categories will be awarded part of the prize fund and a trophy. They will also be given the chance to compete in the PRO-AM that will be played on the 27th of October at the Guadalhorce golf club, where only those players that are exclusively invited by the sponsors will be allowed to participate.

Furthermore, on the last day of the programme's activities, one more event will be held to mark the end of the solidarity tour: a charity dinner at the Finca Herradura, which belongs to the Lepando Group. The funds raised by this dinner will provide a further contribution to the social work that is carried out by the Proyecto Hombre. Anyone who wishes to contribute something to this charity may attend the final event and rub shoulders with numerous well-known faces from the worlds of golf, the stage, politics and business. After dinner, the organisation will hold a charity auction with the participation of several well-known people from Malaga High Society.
